septicemia in which secondary foci of pus formation occur and multiple abscesses are formed. adj., adj pye´mic.
arterial pyemia a form due to the dissemination of septic emboli from the heart.
cryptogenic pyemia that in which the source of infection is in an unidentified tissue.
