Otitis media was diagnosed by a physician for the six ill infants and three of the four ill toddlers; one of the ill toddlers had had purulent conjunctivitis

We report three cases of purulent conjunctivitis
with localized facial swelling that occurred after ocular exposure to SEB in the laboratory.
In all, 73 infectious episodes were recorded in 20 of 28 residents in the implicated building, including 43 (59%) skin abscesses, 20 (27%) furuncles, 8 (11%) purulent conjunctivitis
