pseudohypohyperparathyroidism

pseudohypohyperparathyroidism

A condition characterized by congenital end-organ resistance to PTH–pseudohypoparathyroidism and osteitis fibrosa cystica, seen in hyperparathyroidism; the condition may be related to differences in the transduction of the bone remodeling response–ie, divergence of PTH secretion and expression of its receptor.
