In our study, we also evaluated the factors that could affect the SLN detection rate, including age, menopausal status, tumor location, size, primary biopsy method, Ki-67 proliferative index, breast cancer subtypes and SLN detection technique.

The proliferative index was calculated from the data in the histograms considering that two cells with a given CFSE intensity were produced by mitosis of a single cell, possessing a CFSE intensity immediately above, using the following formula (17): proliferative index = (100-Y)/Y, where Y(%) = X0 + X1/2 + X2/4 + X3/8 + X4/16 + X5/32 + X6/64 + X7/128, X0 represents the percentage of T cells that did not divide (located at M1), and X1-7 represents the peak of gradual division (located from M2 to M7).
Rosa and coworkers [43] previously demonstrated the ability of adrenaline to increase the proliferative index of mesenteric lymphocytes and to concomitantly augment the maximal activities of HK, GLUTase, and CS, as well as glucose and glutamine consumption.

The Ki-67, a monoclonal antibody, a protein encoded by M ki-67 gene in humans is a proliferative index marker, which has emerged as a immunohistochemistry marker with a strong potential to forecast and predict the behavior of MEC by indicating its proliferative capacity9,10,11.
(7), (8) Of the RCC marker antigens, such as inhibin, WT-1, c-kit (CD117), S-100 protein, and CK20, no positive staining was detected for any of the three components of the tumor (i.e., smooth muscle tissue, blood vessels and mature adipose tissue), and a low proliferative index value was detected according to Ki67 labeling.
