A notice given to an enterprise or organisation under the UK Health and Safety Act 1974, which identifies a risk and any contravention of legal requirements, and directs that the activities cease until remedied.
A letter, seen by the Examiner, says the prohibition notice has been issued under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005: Article 31, a notice under the Environment & Safety Information Act 1988.
