The planning and provision of healthcare to a client in the client’s home by a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or home health aid, who neither resides in the client’s home nor is related to the client. Private duty may have been pre-certified (pre-approved for payment by the NHS), and ordered by the attending physician or consultant.
