(preshŭr indi-kātōr pāst)
Fixative applied to tissue side of a complete or partial denture to check for pressure spots or high spots where the prosthesis contacts tissue when seated in the oral cavity. Pressure spots indicated by smudging of the paste on the prosthesis are adjusted to relieve tissue irritation.
