Paranormal
A supplication to a higher power by a cleric or individual for another person’s recovery from illness. In mainstream (Western) medicine, there is no explanation for the occasional “miraculous” recoveries from pathologically confirmed dread diseases, such as cancer, that have been associated with prayer therapy.
