Postocular stripe white or cream, slanting downwards to the rear.
Thorax: Pronotum with anterolateral margins widely emarginate, obliquely straight; frontal angles projecting forward as medium-sized and broadly elongate conical lobe, reaching, but not touching middle third of postocular tubercle.

Comparisons and possible relationships: the new species belongs to a cluster of species characterized by the putative synapomorphy of juxtaposed postocular and subocular scales.
Carapace: anterior margin with a well developed median bulge; anterior longitudinal sulcus deeply marked; tegument densely granulate in male holotype, smooth in females; ocular tubercle well marked, slightly anterior to middle of carapace, interocular sulcus deeply marked, eyes 2 diameters apart, lateral sulcus, postocular furrow, and posterior sulcus deeply marked.
In life, dorsal ground color at night dull yellowish gray becoming light yellowish or pinkish gray by day; irregular, dark brown spots and blotches on back, dark brown canthal and postocular stripes and dark brown bars on limbs; at times during day darkening dorsal ground color obscured dorsal markings; gular skin chrome yellow, belly white with two bluish bands extending posteriorly from midbelly; lower surfaces of limbs with a translucent, bluish cast; posterior surfaces of thighs uniformly dark brown; iris pinkish bronze.
