nucleus of phrenic nerve

[TA]
neuron cell bodies located in the more medial portions of the anterior horn at cervical levels C3-C7 that innervate the diaphragm via the phrenic nerve.

phrenic nucleus

A column of motor neurons in the center of the ventral horn of spinal cord segments C3-C7. Axons from this nucleus innervate the muscles of the diaphragm.
