A neologism for a reduction of neural impulses generated by the eye, which some alternative healthcare practitioners believe decreases brain activity and leads to anxiety, depression, fatigue, hyperactivity, insomnia, learning disabilities, loss of concentration and co-ordination, low self-esteem, mood swings, night blindness, seasonal affective disorder and others.
