Fibrofolliculoma/trichodiscoma and fibrous papule (
perifollicular fibroma/angiofibroma): a revaluation of histopathological and immunohistochemical features.
Erythrosis interfollicularis colli has a peculiar dermoscopic finding: the
perifollicular white halo, or a well-defined, round, homogeneous whitish area surrounding the follicular opening of the hair follicle (the "full-moon sign"; Fig.
The aim of this study was to assess if we can use
perifollicular vascularity in a follicle in IUI cycles to predict treatment outcome.
Perifollicular scales, white dots and blue-grey dots along with accentuation of honeycomb pattern were seen in LPP (Figure 1).
Physical examination disclosed
perifollicular hemorrhages and extensive ecchymoses with increased pigmentation involving the lower extremities (Figure 1).
The open comedones in Birt-Hogg-Dube are found on the face, neck, chest, and abdomen; on histopathology they represent comedonal or cystic fibrofolliculomas, demonstrating a dilated hair follicle with proliferation of the
perifollicular fibrous sheath and thin epithelial strands emanating from the infundibular portion of the hair follicle [11].
These granulomatous foci were arranged in a ring-like fashion around lymphoid follicles, a feature also called
perifollicular granuloma (Figure 3(e)).

Desired endpoints for hair removal include
perifollicular edema and erythema.
The patient was subjected to blood investigation (report of blood investigation formulated in Table 1), and biopsy report [Figure 4] suggestive of hyperkeratosis, atrophy of the epidermis, follicular plugging, liquefaction degeneration of the basal cell layer, edema, dilatation of small blood vessels, and
perifollicular inflammatory infiltrate, confirming our diagnoses DLE.
The striking clinical features in patients with AD-like GVHD included eczematous dermatitis, dry skin, pronounced itching and
perifollicular accentuation, and the features of LP-like GVHD patients included erythematous/violaceous flat-topped papules or plaques with or without surface reticulations or a silvery or shiny appearance [Figure 1]a and [Figure 1]b.
The repigmentation usually appears in a
perifollicular pattern, or it extends from the periphery of the lesion, or it occurs in a combination of patterns.
