passive incontinence

Etymology: L, passivus + incontinentia
urine overflow that may occur when the bladder (musculus detrusor vesicae) is paralyzed and greatly distended. See also incontinence.

passive incontinence

A form of urinary incontinence in which a full bladder allows urine to drip away upon pressure instead of emptying normally.
