(1) Optic disk; discus nervi optici [NA6].(2) An obsolete term that regarded the ciliary (pars ciliaris retinae) and iridial parts of the retina (pars iridica retinae) as a single functional unit.

The flat portion of the temporal bone that forms part of the lateral wall of the skull.
pars tensa membranae tympani
The larger portion of the tympanic membrane, a tightly stretched membrane lying inferior to the malleolar folds.
