paraldehyde poisoning
Poisoning in which symptoms resemble those of chloral hydrate poisoning. Symptoms include cardiac and respiratory depression, dizziness, and collapse with partial or complete anesthesia; it may also produce severe lactic acidosis.
Treatment
There is no specific antidote. Supportive care includes airway management, ventilation, and hemodialysis.
