MPP6(redirected from p55T)
MPP6A gene on chromosome 7p15 that encodes palmitoylated membrane protein 6, a member of the p55-like subfamily of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologs (MAGUK) family. MAGUKs interact with the cytoskeleton, regulating cell proliferation, signalling pathways and intracellular junctions; they are involved in tumour suppression and receptor clustering by forming multiprotein complexes with distinct sets of transmembrane, cytoskeletal and cytoplasmic-signalling proteins.
