Q. How much is it true? My Chemo treatment just got over and I started to relax for a while. My best friend and well wisher advised me to cut on dairy products as much as possible. She said it will be harmful if I consume them, as they increase the chances of breast cancer. How much is it true?
A. The main purpose of consuming milk is to get calcium and Vitamin D which is necessary for our body. But as a matter of fact, the milk does not contain them. So inorder to ensure calcium and Vitamin D supplement, the Government has taken measures and fortified the milk with calcium and Vitamin D. Instead of having milk, which ultimately increases fat for adults, they can choose to get the supplement from other source. The scientists have established a link between milk and breast cancer, as the rats started to develop tumor when consumed milk. But the results are yet to be proven in human.
Q. Is this true? I am interested in Chinese medicine. So I have been reading a lot about the Chinese herb, Ei Ta Mei, which is said to be good for weight loss. Is this true?

Q. Is it true that fasting (occasionally) is good for health? Many people say that fasting helps the body clean itself, it there a truth behind this?
A. Fasting does help "clean" the intestine for a short period of time. I cannot say it is especially recommended medically-wise to fast every now and then, because our bodies are functioned to digest food and there is usually no problem doing so, and an occasional fast does not show any benefitial healthy effects on the GI system.
