Alternative medicine
A person (e.g., a faith healer) who alleges to manipulate a person’s internal forces to effect therapy.

Ethnomedicine
A healer (curandero) is one who uses various plants, concoctions (potingues), rites and rituals to treat various diseases or to rid the sufferer of various culture-bound syndromes.
