Alternative pharmacology
NDGA appears to have a broad spectrum of anticancer properties, the efficacy of which is attributed to NDGA’s antioxidant activity, its virtually complete inhibition of anaerobic glycolysis and its inhibition of DNA synthesis; NDGA may be useful in treating choriocarcinoma, gastrointestinal tumours, gliomas of the brain, leukaemia, lymphoma and melanoma.

nordihydroguaiaretic acid

one of a group of chemicals which cause renal cysts when administered to experimental animals.
