The most commonly used method for the surgical excision of
nonpalpable breast lesions is wire-guided localization (WGL).
We use it in much the same way as diagnostic laparoscopy is used in the evaluation of
nonpalpable testes.
Recently, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) released a committee opinion addressing several of these clinical challenges--among them: pain with insertion, what to do when the IUD strings are not visualized, and the plan of action for a
nonpalpable IUD or contraceptive implant.
Ruptured

For those thyroid nodules that were
nonpalpable, predominantly cystic, or located posteriorly in the thyroid, a US guided FNA was performed.
The good news is that both palpable and
nonpalpable nodules carry just a 5% risk of malignancy.
