nonMendelian genetics

a mechanism or theory of inheritance that does not obey Mendel's laws about SEGREGATION of genes or their INDEPENDENT ASSORTMENT. For example, GENETIC LINKAGE between genes produces frequencies of progeny different from those predicted from independent assortment.
