nick·el-chro·mi·um al·loy

(nikĕl-krōmē-ŭm aloy)
An alloy used in the construction of crowns, bridges, and removable partial dental frameworks. It is usually given a porcelain veneer when used in crowns and bridges, but at present, its use is declining as the number of patients sensitive to nickel increases.
