Specifically, three clustering algorithms, i.e., DBSCAN, MeanShift, and WaveCluster, were explored to deal with the sparse data from neuromorphic sensor. After studying the detection results, the DBSCAN was selected for further detection stage due to its more robust and accurate outcome.
The reason mainly lies in the immaturity of neuromorphic sensor technology.
In order to elucidate the mechanism of neuromorphic sensors more clearly, a comparison between standard frame-based cameras and neuromorphic vision sensors is shown in Figure 1.
