the lateral terminal branch of the superficial fibular (peroneal) nerve, supplying the dorsum of the foot and dorsal digital nerves to the toes (except for adjacent parts of great and second toes).

intermediate dorsal cutaneous nerve

a terminal branch of superficial peroneal nerve; innervates majority of dorsal aspect of the foot; crosses anterior aspect of ankle joint approximately 1 cm anterior to lateral malleolus (see medial dorsal cutaneous nerve)
