A molecular process in which a ubiquitin-like protein, neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally downregulated 8 (NEDD8) is conjugated to proteins, targeting them for roles in cell growth and development.
Molecular pathology Neddylation is linked to Alzheimer's disease, driving the reentry of neurons into the cell cycle, resulting in apoptosis.
