MAP3K15(redirected from mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 15)
MAP3K15An oncogene on chromosome Xp22.12 that encodes a MAPK kinase kinase belonging to a protein kinase signal transduction cascade. MAP3K15 is thought to function in a signal transduction pathway activated by cell stress, leading to apoptosis.
Each mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway is a conserved cascade of three protein kinases: an activated MAPK kinase kinase (MAPKKK) phosphorylates and activates a specific MAPK kinase (MAPKK), which in turn activates a specific MAPK.
