mesothelial/monocytic incidental cardiac excrescences
mesothelial/monocytic incidental cardiac excrescencesRare (35 cases reported), benign entities which are diagnosed incidentally following cardiac surgery. The histology may simulate true neoplasia, but the gross appearance, clinical history and immunohistochemistry (AE1/AE3 negative and CD-68 positive) confirms their benign nature.
