Samples were taken from the blood,
mesenteric lymph nodes, and spleen tissues for microbiological examinations.
Cultures of Blood and
Mesenteric Lymph Nodes. One drop of EDTA-treated full blood was obtained by cardiac puncture from the animals in which colonic permeability was studied and plated onto a blood agar culture plate following enrichment and incubated at 37[degrees]C for 24 h in ambient air supplied with 5% C[O.sub.2].
Mesenteric lymph nodes may show a wide variation in degree of reactive hyperplasia between animals due to stimulation by antigens in the gastrointestinal tract (Elmore, 2006b).
The present study demonstrated that an increase in IAP in studied animals, following chemical megacolon, was associated with lung inflammatory changes and similar bacterial growth in the lungs and in
mesenteric lymph nodes. These phenomena were not observed in control animals.
Plain X-ray abdomen is an important investigation as calcified
mesenteric lymph nodes, multiple fluid levels, perforation and revealed gas under right dome of diaphragm.
In the study done by Rathaus V and Shapiro M, Et al, enlarged
mesenteric lymph nodes were detected in 55 of 189 asymptomatic children.
(1) The lymphoma can be localized in
mesenteric lymph nodes or extraperitoneal space.
Infection in
mesenteric lymph nodes, observed in other carnivores, suggests that the primary route of transmission of infection is through the digestive tract and strongly suggests fecal excretion (5).
Mesenteric lymph nodes seen at imaging: causes and significance.
In September 2014, abdominal CT showed multiple
mesenteric lymph nodes, left upper abdominal mesenteric whirlpool sign, and colon dilatation [Figure 1]c and [Figure 1]d.
The pancreas and
mesenteric lymph nodes were enlarged, irregular, and the cut surface was firm.
Their thymuses, spleens, and
mesenteric lymph nodes were collected, weighed, and cooled to 4[degrees]C in PBS and further processed according to Suszko and Obminska-Mrukowicz [14].
