mega code
mega code
A simulation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (code) performed by trainees and health professionals becoming certified or re-certified in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), paediatric advance life support (PALS) or neonatal resuscitation program (NRP). A mega code is designed to test what students have learned during a training session and ascertain that they are competent in performing the hands-on skills they’ve learned, and they can lead a code. Mega codes evaluate cognitive, psychomotor and behavioural skills to assess the student’s ability to handle themselves in a simulated code situation.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
