Now other older people are now being encouraged to join the hundreds of local residents who receive hot meals or afternoon teas from the Meals on Wheels
service every day.
Primarily, Meals on Wheels
serve elderly individuals who are physically unable to shop or prepare meals due to illness or disability, or people who are mentally incapable of providing for their own nutritional needs.

was a lifeline for vulnerable people which was in danger of being lost as budgets were cut and volunteers stopped coming forward.
