JUST 345 secured an A1 grade in honours
maths, while 255 students failed the higher-level exam OF 33,916 who took ordinary-level
maths 1% got an A1 - down from 4.1% MORE than 4,000 youngsters failed their
maths exam despite project
maths being introduced, and JUST 772 budding scientists secured an A1 in honours chemistry, with 461 making the top grade in physics and 1,728 getting A1 in biology exams.
The committee said it was concerned that the modularisation of exams made it possible "to avoid whole subjects in
maths, like calculus - and still find yourself in an engineering discipline where
maths is essential".
I enjoyed a traditional O-Level

The figure for
maths at level four was 82 per cent, the same as last year.
