KDM5B(redirected from lysine-specific demethylase 5B)
KDM5BA gene on chromosome 1q32.1 that encodes lysine-specific demethylase 5B, which interacts with FOXG1 and PAX9 as a transcriptional co-repressor. Lysine K-specific methylase may act as a tumour suppressor for melanoma.
KDM5B favours breast cancer cell proliferation by repressing tumour suppressor genes BRCA1 and HOXA5.
