left gastrohepatic artery

An obsolete term for an inconstant branch of the left gastric artery that enters the liver via the fissure for the ligamentum venosum, functioning as an accessory hepatic artery, and which when present may replace the lateral segmental artery of the left branch of the hepatic artery.
