The standard substances for the tested PAs echimidine, erucifoline, erucifoline-N-oxide, europine, europine-N-oxide, heliotrine, heliotrine-N-oxide, intermedine, jacobine, jacobine-N-oxide, lasiocarpine, lasiocarpine-Noxide, lycopsamine, monocrotaline, monocrotaline-N-oxide, retrorsine, retrorsine-N-oxide, senecionine, senecionine-N-oxide, seneciphylline, seneciphylline-N-oxide, senkirkine, and trichodesmine were acquired from PhytoLab, Germany.
The obtained recoveries ranged between 76% for lasiocarpine and 125% for senkirkine.
In humans, it has been associated to long term therapy with anabolic steroids [18] and in laboratory animals it has experimentally been produced with B1 aflatoxin [9], vinyl chloride [26], Lasiocarpine [12], experimental inoculations with murine leucemia9Hvirus [6] or in mice transplanted with granulosa cell tumors or interstitial cell tumors [27].
