keratocoele

A small, blister-like bulge on the CORNEA at a point at which local weakness, as from injury or incision, allows the inner, elastic membrane, Descemet's membrane, to balloon through. Also known as a descemetocoele. (Jean Descemet, 1732–1810, French professor of anatomy and surgery).
