KPNA7

A gene on chromosome 7q22.1 that encodes an alpha subunit of karyopherin via the IBB domain. The complex dissociates in the presence of RAN-GTP and displays limited binding to the RB1 nuclear localisation signal. KPNA7 is also a less preferred gene symbol for what is now designated as KPNA6, see there.
