Although histologic detection of characteristic
intranuclear inclusions or immunohistochemistry has traditionally been the gold standard for diagnosis of CMV pneumonitis, many patients cannot tolerate the invasive procedures required to obtain tissue.
Actin myopathy with nemaline bodies,
intranuclear rods, and a heterozygous mutation in ACTA1 (Asp154Asn).
However, diagnosis of inclusion body herpesvirus hepatitis can be confirmed by biopsy of tissues from the live bird, observation of typical caseous necrotic foci on the liver and spleen postmortem, detection of
intranuclear eosinophilic inclusion bodies in cells surrounding the caseous necrotic foci on histopathologic examination, and isolation of the virus from liver and spleen in chicken embryo fibroblasts followed by serologic identification.
Renal-cell carcinoma with
intranuclear inclusions metastatic to thyroid: A diagnostic problem in aspiration cytology.
He explained that SMDA is a methylated form of the amino acid arginine that is released into the circulation during
intranuclear protein degradation and is excreted by renal filtration.
Histologically, the detection of
intranuclear groove, pseudoinclusions, and psammoma bodies cause confusion with PTC (7).
Final histopathologic findings were consistent with classic PTC American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) stage T2N1bMx, including tumor nodule measuring 3.7X2.5X2.2 cm in size without extracapsular extension, one positive lymph node in the paratracheal right neck region VI and two positive lymph nodes in the dissected region IV of the right side of the neck (infiltrated with atypical epithelial cells of light cores with
intranuclear inclusions and overlapping).
The respiratory lesions involve bronchitis, bronchiolitis, interstitial pneumonia, syncytial cells and presence of intracytoplasmic and
intranuclear inclusion bodies in bronchiolar and alveolar epithelium (Aytiken et al., 2011).
Cytology showed moderately cellular, scattered clusters and sheets of moderately atypical epithelial cells with irregular nuclear contours, nuclear grooving, and numerous
intranuclear pseudoinclusions, diagnostic of metastatic papillary thyroid carcinoma (Figure 2).
Furthermore, Hill detected an increased
intranuclear gelatinolytic activity immediately after reoxygenation in a primary culture of cortical neurons after oxygen and glucose deprivation [16].
Cells of submucosal Brunner's glands showed nucleomegaly with eosinophilic
intranuclear and basophilic cytoplasmic CMV inclusions (Figure 1(b)).
The chromatin was fine with occasional
intranuclear inclusions and many prominent nucleoli.
