internal branch of trunk of accessory nerve

[TA]branch formerly considered to arise from the accessory nerve trunk that carries fibers from the cranial root and that unites with the vagus nerve in the jugular foramen. Currently this branch is considered the inferiormost root of the vagus nerve.
