intermediate column

[TA]
the intermediate region of the spinal cord gray matter located between the posterior and anterior horns. This area contains a number of nuclei that collectively comprise the Rexed spinal lamina VIII [TA]. The nuclei of the intermediate c., or intermediate zone, are the intermediolateral nucleus in the lateral horn, central intermediate substance, posterior or dorsal thoracic nucleus (nucleus of Clarke), lateral intermediate substance, intermediomedial nucleus, sacral parasympathetic nuclei [TA] (nuclei parasympathici sacrales [TA]), nucleus of pudendal nerve [TA] (nucleus nervi pudendi), portions of the spinal reticular formation [TA] (formatio reticularis spinalis [TA]), and the anterior medial nucleus [TA] (nucleus medialis anterior [TA]).

It is observed that shear stresses approached zero in the intermediate region. When curved lap joints are examined along the width (w), it is observed that [[tau].sub.xy] and [[tau].sub.xz] shear stresses decreased as the radius of curvature increased.
invirae caterpillars varied depending on the leaf region sampled (F=24.28; df=959; P<0.0001), from 4.52 caterpillars on the apical region of leaf 9 to 15.74 on the intermediate region of leaf 16.
Such waves, called 'gravity waves', arise in the Earth's atmosphere too, when energy is transferred from the lowest layers, where the air cools as one goes higher up, to the higher layer, separated by an intermediate region.
After the intermediate region of the tubular parts, the presence of a plateau can also be noticed.
This implied that part of the planet must always face the Sun and another part away, though because of Mercury's highly elliptical orbit and resulting libratory sway, an intermediate region, or "twilight zone," would be exposed to alternating conditions of light and shadow.
At 45 minutes, these 3 SFs became a single SF linked to the FAs, which is a ventral SF (green line in the intermediate region in Figure 8(b)).
The 3.61 ct cabochon also contained a fibrous area of bisbeeite, and an intermediate region with a fibrous/granular structure that showed mixed Raman peaks relating to bisbeeite and shattuckite.
Key statement: A road wheel for a tracked vehicle is provided with a circular mounting flange having a dished wall extending radially outwards and circumferentially therefrom, a peripheral rim having a first edge and a second edge with the rim connected to an outer edge of the dished wall at an intermediate region of the rim, and a first lip extending from the first edge.
They propose that both muscles are derived from the intermediate region between the subclavius muscle and the inferior belly of omohyoid muscle, it can be innervated by the nerve to the subclavius muscle or by the branch to the omohyoid muscle arising from the ansa cervicalis.
In the intermediate region, bubble resonance dominates, with time-dependent changes in attenuation arising from the ripening of bubbles within the dough.
Ozone in this intermediate region constitutes the northern hemisphere background, or baseline, level of ozone in the lower atmosphere.
From a technologic point of view, understanding the problems related to catalysis, chemisorptions, aerosols, powder metallurgy, ferrofluid etc, is very important with regards to the study of matter system in this intermediate region. In addition, one expects that the next level of miniaturization of the photonic and microelectronic devices will depend on the systems of this intermediate region.
