IL17F

A gene on chromosome 6p12 that encodes IL-17F, a cytokine which stimulates the production of other cytokines (e.g., IL-6, IL-8 and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor) and regulates cartilage matrix turnover. IL-17F stimulates PBMC and T-cell proliferation and inhibits angiogenesis.
