interface

 [in´ter-fās″]
1. in chemistry, the boundary between two systems or phases.
2. a connection between two computer subsystems, or the hardware required to exchange data through such a connection, or an area of computer storage that can be accessed by more than one system.

(in'tĕr-fās),
1. A surface that forms a common boundary of two bodies.
2. The boundary between regions of different radiopacity, acoustic, or magnetic resonance properties; the projection of the interface between tissues of different such properties on an image.

interface

Informatics
1. The electronic connection where 2 parts of a system are joined–eg, software program meets a hardware component, or where hardware meets an input device.
2. Software that joins 2 different information systems. See Application program interface, Bidirectional interface, Command line interface, Fiber distributed data interface, GUI interface, Haptic interface, Messaging API interface, Parallel interface, Serial interface.

3. The connection between discrete parts of a computer system.

The research shall discover and gain information of methods and processes of ICT interfacing practiced during the implementation of the project.
An ICT Work Interfacing strategy using the ICT work interface framework as the approach in construction-based project shall be the end result of this research.
Interfacing enables the comparison and matching process occurs.
Based on the case studies to be conducted, the researchers would know and understand what are the common functions, features, components involved and methods used in works interfacing. With further research, it is hope that, this would enable us to develop a practical ICT works interface framework as part of project integration instrument for most large scale construction project in Malaysia.
What they may not realize is that as CDS and LIMS have become more sophisticated, instrument interfacing has kept pace, providing more functionality ranging from data review and limit checking to automatically notifying users that results have been successfully transferred to the LIMS.
Despite the challenges facing CDS/LIMS interfacing, these new technologies are changing the way that these interfaces are being implemented and utilized.
In the past, a drawback to many interfacing projects has been the amount of custom code and development work that needs to be done to provide a good working interface.
The introduction of off-the-shelf interfacing products, like Lims[Link.sup.CDS] from Labtronics Inc., Guelph, Ontario, has already reduced the amount of custom code that needs to be written for an interface.
When deciding between sew-in or fusible interfacing, consider a few important factors.
However, there are a few cases where fusible interfacing isn't suitable.
There are three main interfacing weaves: non-woven (or bonded), woven and knit (or tricot).
Non-woven interfacing is composed of fibers bonded together to create the fabric (1).
