interdental gingiva

the supporting gingival tissues, containing prominent horizontal collagen fibers, that normally fill the space between two approximating teeth. Also called gingival papilla.

Triangular gingival tissue that fills the space between the proximal surfaces of adjacent teeth, apical to (i.e., beneath) the contact area.
