insulinase

 [in´su-lin-ās]
an enzymatic activity in body tissues that destroys or inactivates insulin; this effect is probably due to several nonspecific proteases.

insulinase

This name is no longer valid. It was formerly used for EC 3.4.99.10 and EC 3.4.99.45; it has been transferred to EC 3.4.24.56.
