It is also associated with a dilation lag in the affected pupil, ipsilateral ptosis of the upper eyelid due to a weakness of Muller's muscle and an elevation of the lower eyelid resulting from a weakness of the inferior tarsal muscle. Heterochromia iridis is common in congenital Horner's syndrome.
