Type II pullulanase also known as amylopullulanase (APU) hydrolyzes [alpha]-1,6 glycosidic bonds in pullulan and starch but cannot hydrolyze [alpha]-1,4 linkage in pullulan and surprisingly can hydrolyze [alpha]-1,4 glycosidic linkage in starch (Melasniemi, 1988; Saha et al., 1988; Spreinat and Antranikian, 1990; Mathupala et al., 1993; Ramesh et al., 1994).
(2007), the amount of CRL and PPL to hydrolyze soybean oil was 1% of lipase concentration [11].
Both ACHE, which is inhibited by soman, and OPAA, the enzyme that hydrolyzes soman, seem to be indifferent to the configuration around the C chiral center (1).
Comparing various polyurethane systems, we can see in figure 3 that polyester-TDI MBOCA systems hydrolyze quite rapidly, two to four times faster than polyether-TDI MBOCA systems.
We ourselves reported a squid-like enzyme from Pseudomonas diminuta that hydrolyzes the P-S bond of the VX-type nerve agents ([R.sub.1][R.sub.2]P(= O)S[R.sub.3]) and, more to the point, hydrolyzes DFP about eight times faster than Soman (2).
