hot lab
Medspeak-UKA term of art referring to a clinical laboratory at an NHS hospital trust (UK) that generates results—e.g., chemical and haematologic values from a specimen—in less than four hours.

A facility that performs diagnostics and/or research on Hazard Group 3 and Hazard Group 4 pathogens.
Nuclear medicine
A lab in which radiopharmaceuticals or radioactive diagnostic tracers are prepared.
