Although the configuration of the
heat and moisture exchanger investigated in this paper (i.e., a moving porous bed exchanging heat and moisture with air flowing in a cross-flow direction) is very different from heat-and-moisture transfer in a rotating energy wheel, there are many similarities in the basic governing equations.
