har·mon·ic

(har-mon'ik),
A component of complex sound, the frequency of which is a multiple of the fundamental frequency, which is also called the first harmonic; the second harmonic has twice the frequency of the fundamental, and so forth.

harmonic

In physics, concerning wave forms, an oscillation or frequency that is a whole number multiple of the basic frequency.

At the heart of the headend is Harmonic's video encoding platform, which increases SD/HD MPEG-4 AVC encoding efficiency and enables TBC to deliver superior video quality to subscribers by utilizing advanced motion estimation, refined multi-pass encoding and preprocessing capabilities.
However there are loads and devices on the system that have nonlinear characteristic which is affected both voltage and current signal and result in harmonic distortion causing poor power quality.
These methods only work properly if the signal is composed of only the fundamental and harmonic frequencies in a certain frequency range.
The conventional circuit of the transistor and the corresponding harmonic control network is shown in Figure 2(a) [14].
This paper proposes a new and simple method to find Harmonic Sequences, just with one operation for each sequence, which makes the calculation much easier and faster.
