An abnormality of the contour of the testis is considered indirect evidence of testicular rupture in the case of a large extratesticular
haematocoele or a large scrotal wall hematoma that may obscure the site of tunical disruption [9].
The other conditions that presents in similar way to testicular torsion include torsion of appendix testis, epididymo-orchitis, trauma to testis,
haematocoele, etc.
This spectrum of disease consists of hydrocoele (commonest cause), epididymal cysts, spermatocoele,
haematocoele, pyocoele, chylocoele, and sebaceous cysts.
