silver ambulance(redirected from grey ambulance)
silver ambulanceA transport vehicle which is painted silver-grey (in contrast to the lemon-yellow of fast response units), and partly dressed in the fluorescent-yellow and sea-green scheme typical of ambulances in the UK, on both the sides and front, with fluorescent yellow and hazard orange on the rear. Silver vans and vehicles are used to transport non-urgent patients to hospital or various outpatient appointments. They are not deployed in all ambulance trusts in the UK.
